Welcome to Sestri Levante
Sestri Levante, unique for its territory conformation, is composed, in fact, by a proper strip of houses in the water, since these houses are interposed between the coast and the small island that defense the village against the sea forces. In the meantime, the discos and the pubs make the citizen very intriguing all the night.
Located between the Baia delle Favole and the Baia del Silenzio, Sestri Levante had been founded by the Ligurian Tigulli, but some archeological finds, such as the copper mines, would prove the ancient origins of the place. A trade and a port centre during the Roman times, today, with its charming landscapes, it's an important touristic and bathing centre. |
