Croque Monsieur
Crispy, hot and delicious, the croque monsieur is a tasty grilled sandwich of French origin, namely Paris, where he served for the first time in a local coffee shop and, if unknown reasons of the combination of the two words croque (from the verb croquer or bite) and Monsieur (sir), there is no doubt that this is a unique delicacy that can be enjoyed during a break of good taste. Made with ham and cheese (generally emmental or gruyère), this delicious goodness may have numerous variants, one of which is more elaborate that includes the béchamel between the various ingredients, while a popular variant, the croque madame, also presents the egg. In all its variants and versions, the croque monsieur is a delight to be unique for those who wish the good taste and the pleasures of quality. Among the different variants, are to be enjoyed without doubt the croque provençal (which includes the use of tomato), the croque auvergnat (with Blue cheese of Auvergne), the croque gagnet (with Gouda cheese and sausage andouille), the croque norvégien (with smoked salmon instead of ham), the croque tartiflette (with sliced ??potatoes and Reblochon cheese), croque bolognese or croque Boum-Boum (which includes the addition of Bolognese sauce), the croque señor (with tomato sauce ), the croque Hawaiian (with slices of ananans) and the Croque McDo a sandwich that is sold at McDonald's French. Last but not least is the version devised by the famous French chef Jacques Pepin who took the chicken instead of ham.
