A delicacy from the Viennese cuisine suitable for any occasion and able to delight the most discerning palates. With two layers of light chocolate paste with a central thin layer of apricot jam or cherries, and all covered with a layer of dark chocolate frosting, the Sacher is a really delicious chocolate dessert to be savored as a dessert after lunch or or an elegant dinner to celebrate various occasions. Invented by Franz Sacher for Klemens von Metternich, July 9, 1832 in Vienna, the Sacher is traditionally served with whipped cream is not sweet and a cup of coffee or tea.
