Con la sua originaria struttura medievale, immersa in uno straordinario scenario della natura, il borgo di Lerici mostra caratteristiche degne di ammirazione; l'imponente castello, costruito dai Pisani nel Medioevo, oltre a rappresentare un esempio di architettura militare italiana dell'epoca, è oggi senza dubbio il monumento più importante di Lerici. Al suo interno potrete ritrovare la singolare cappella duecentesca dedicata a Santa Anastasia e, oggi, completamente restaurato, il castello accoglie la sede del museo geopaleontologico, unico in Europa per la sua importanza scientifica; ma Lerici non è solo il suo castello: tra i vari ambienti di notevole interesse culturale, emergono il quartiere ebraico del ghetto, la torre di San Rocco, e Palazzo Doria.

|  | Immersed in a probationary natural scenery with its original mediaeval structure, the village of Lerici shows praiseworthy peculiarities; the stately castle, built by the Pisan during the Middle Ages and rich in history, is a mediaeval italian military structure example and, nowadays, it is the most important monument of the place. Inside the castle, which today has been completely restored, you can find the particular St Anastasia's Chapel, built in the XIII century and, today, it includes the geopalaentological museum, unique in Europe for its scientific importance; but, Lerici is not only its castle: amongst the different culural environments there are the Jewish quarter, St Rocco's tower and Doria Palace.
The welcoming touristic hospitality, that you can find in the modern part of the place, is able to get itself with the wonderful ancient part. |
