Welcome to Bolzano
Bolzano was a city of merchants, and nowaday is also city of art, show, culture, exchange and vacation, thanks also to an infrastructure outbreak new: the airport, the theatre, the auditorium, the museums (the Archaeological Museum of Ötzi, the man of the Similaun), the Fair of Bolzano. Bolzano has a long tradition in the fair sector: the first evidence of commercial exchange with other regions of the Alps, both in Italy and abroad, dates as far back as 1070. The geographical location of the city and its unquestionable role as a bridge between Northern and Southern Europe have always favoured commercial, economic and cultural relations with the neighbouring countries. The first modern fair (the Campionaria) was held in 1948. But this splendid town of Trentino Alto Adige is characterized by a lot of curiosities.
