Composed of agar jelly cubes (a white translucent jelly made from the red algae), the Anmitsu is a delicious dessert typical of Japanese culinary tradition able to conquer the gourmet palate more refined thanks to the exquisite flavor chelo apart. The agar is dissolved in water (or fruit juice such as apple juice) to form gelatin, hyenas and then served in a bowl along with a sweet azuki bean jam (called anko, from which comes an of Anmitsu) and boiled peas, often with hi-gyu and mixed fruit, such as peach slices, mikan, pieces of pineapples and cherries. Usually served with sweet syrup black part (the mitsu, hence the mitsu of Anmitsu) and which is paid on gelatin before being eaten, the Anmitsu is a delicacy irresistible for those who love sweet and intense flavors.
