Jebena
Usually made of ceramic and spherical base, neck and pouring spout and a handle that connects the neck to the base, the jebena is a container used to make coffee in the traditional coffee ceremony practiced in the homes of Ethiopia, Eritrea and Eastern Sudan. The jebena, so it's a typical Ethiopian coffee unique: once the coffee has reached the boiling point is poured into a smaller container to be cooled before being poured back into jebena. To pour the coffee from jebena into cups, using a filter, horsehair or other material, which is located in the spout of the jebena to prevent the coffee grounds possanno going to end up in the cups. Very probably the jebena, (or sometimes even jabena), is the first maker of history and is still the first coffee of which we know.
