If you want to tantalize your palate with flavor and delight, the paczek are just the thing for you: stuffed with cream, jam or other sweet filling various kinds, these delicious pancakes typical of Poland are able to meet the needs of a sweet tooth and intoxicate your taste buds. Covered with powdered sugar, with icing or chocolate, sprinkled with candied orange peel or raisins, paczec are known and appreciated beyond local boundaries: thanks to the presence of Polish immigrants, the paczek have become very popular in various U.S. cities such as Boston and Detroit and are readily available in local supermarkets. In particular, in Poland, are prepared and consumed during the Fat Thursday, the last Thursday before Ash Wednesday.
