Moena è la porta della Valle di Fassa e segna il confine ideale con la vicina Valle di Fiemme. Sorge su una splendida conca alluvionale circondata da alcuni fra i più suggestivi gruppi dolomitici tra cui il gruppo del Latemar, la Valaccia e le verdi propaggini del valico di Costalunga. E’ il maggiore centro abitato della Valle di Fassa, conosciuto sia in Italia che all’estero come la fata delle Dolomiti, che ne inquadra completamente il fascino e l’antica suggestione che si legano a racconti perduti nella notte dei tempi. Il paese, molto curato dal punto di vista architettonico, si distingue per quella accattivante eleganza che si accompagna a negozi raffinati, dove potrete appagare ogni più esigente desiderio di uno shopping di classe.

Moena is the gateway to the Val di Fassa and marks the ideal border with the nearby Valle di Fiemme. It rises out of a splendid and amazing alluvial basin surrounded by some of the most alluring and astonishing Dolomite groups which include the Latemar, the Valaccia and the green expanses of the Costalunga pass. It is the main town of the Valle di Fassa, known both in Italy and abroad as the fairy of the Dolomites, which encapsulates its great charm and tradition which are linked to stories lost in the mists of time. The village, which is very well looked after architecturally, is very notable for the great attractive elegance seen in the boutiques, where you have the chance to satisfy your most demanding high-class shopping desires.

Moena si è dimostrata in questi ultimi anni molto sensibile alla tradizione culinaria ladina e ospita fortunate rassegne gastronomiche come A cena con Re Laurino in inverno e Sapori d'Autunno in settembre. D'estate il paese offre ai suoi ospiti la possibilità di moltissime passeggiate e numerosi tracciati di diversa difficoltà da percorrere con la mountain bike. È la patria ormai classica dei bikers e proprio sul suo territorio si snoda il percorso della Rampilonga, che con i suoi 4500 partecipanti è diventata la maggiore bike marathon italiana. Conta tre frazioni: Sorte, Someda e Forno, storicamente più antiche. E' qui che si spara il via della Marcialonga, la granfondo di 70 km, mentre chi ama la natura non può perdersi l'enrosadira della Fata delle Dolomiti, un fenomeno naturale seducente che al tramontar del sole dipinge le vette di un caldo rosso riflesso della Dolomia.

Furthermore, Moena has shown in recent years that is very responsive to the Ladin culinary tradition and provides successful gastronomic reviews such as Dinner with King Laurino in winter and Flavours of autumn in September. In summer the area offers its guests many walking opportunities and many mountain bike tracks of varying grades of difficulty. It is already the classic mountain bikers' homeland where the route of the Rampilonga runs which with its 4500 participants has become the largest mountain bike marathon in Italy. Moena has three fractions: Sorte, Someda and Forno, more ancient than the others. The Marcialonga, 70 kms long, takes place here, and people who love the nature are not allowed to miss the Fairy of the Dolomite enrosadira, an astonishing natural phenomeno which paints the peaks with a hot red riflexed of the Dolomia.
