E in Darsena, i carpentieri e i fabbri, sugli scali dei cantieri navali, sapevano creare imbarcazioni destinate a sfidare con successo le acque insidiose e i venti capricciosi degli oceani; da allora i carri così costruiti di anno in anno, hanno navigato in un mare di gente attonita e divertita. Nel 1925 fu introdotta la cartapesta per realizzare i carri, che da allora diventarono mascheroni colossali ma leggerissimi. Con tale innovazione si può dire che la storia del Carnevale di Viareggio diviene leggenda grazie ai costruttori che, per le loro capacità creative, furono denominati dalla stampa nazionale ed internazionale, i maghi della cartapesta. Un appuntamento da non perdere per chi ama trascorrere diverse giornate all'insegna dell'allegria e del divertimento; infatti, come se non bastasse, sono molti gli eventi collaterali organizzati per l'occasione in questa ridente localita'. |

In 1925 papier-mâché was introduced to create the floats, and from then on has allowed colossal but very light figures. With this novelty, you could say that the history of the Viareggio Carnival became a legend, thanks to the constructors who, because of their creative capacity, were called papier-mâché wizards by the national and international press. Therefore, people who love to spend several cheerfulness and amusement days are not allowed to miss such an appointment.
