La storia di Civitella Paganico è comunque legata alla potente dinastia dei conti Ardengheschi e dal monastero da loro fondato; noto con il nome di Badia Ardenghesca, il monastero costituisce un esempio di architettura romanica.

Some archaeological founds, such as tombs and amphora would witness the Etruschian origins of the town. But the history of Civitella Paganico is connected with the counts Ardengheschi's power and with the monastery they have founded; known as the Badia Ardenghesca (Andergheschi's Abbey), it's an example of Romanic archtecture.
