The park surrounds it on three sides, and no wonder if it has been remembered by Guido Gozzano in his poetries. E' attraversando una grande scalinata a due rami con balaustre in marmo che e' possibile accedere all'incantevole giardino all'italiana, che ancora oggi sorge sulla sinistra della facciata principale. Un artificioso gioco di siepi di bosso si articola attorno ad una fontana ellittica. Questo e ancora altri splendori troverete all'interno del parco se avete deciso di concedervi una passeggiata immersi in vari splendori come querce rosse e platani in aggiunta alle prestigiose sculture che si possono trovare lungo magnifici viali tortuosi.
| | You'll be able to enter the charming Italian-style garden by crossing throuhg a great double-sided staircase with marble balaustrade. The garden still rears up on the left side of the main facade. Moreover, geometrical box hedges wind around an elliptical fountain. This is what you'll find together with too much other magnificences if you decide to go for a walk surrounded by various splendours such as red oaks and plane trees in addition to the prestigious sculptures that you can find along the magnificent winding pathways.

Un'eufonica facciata con robusti torrioni, il Castello Ducale di Aglie' risulta oggi un prestigioso esempio di architettura barocca. Eretto nel XII secolo, deve il suo attuale imponente aspetto all'architetto Amedeo di Castellamonte, uno degli artefici delle trasformazioni della capitale del Ducato Sabaudo. Per questo ed altri motivi, il Castello Ducale di Aglie' costituisce una meta obbligata per chi ha deciso di trascorrere le vacanze nel capoluogo piemontese. Inoltre, la struttura presenta interni composti da 300 stanze, tra cui vanno ricordate ad esempio il salone da ballo affrescato, lunghe gallerie di mobili d'epoca, dipinti, sculture, il teatro ed una preziosa collezione di reperti archeologici.
| | Nowadays, the Aglie' Ducal Castle, with an euphonical facade with strong embattled towers, is a prestigious example of baroque architecture. It's been built in the 12th century, but its current appearance has been designed by the architect Amedeo di Castellamonte, who contributed to change the Duchy of Savoy's capital. That's why the Aglie' Ducal Castle is a very privileged touristic destination by those people who decide to spend his holidays in the Piedmont's capital. The castle has also 300 rooms inside such as the frescoed ballroom, long period furnitures galleries, painting, sculptures, the theatre and a precious collection of archeological finds.
