La favolosa citta' di Sanremo non e' solo la citta' del famoso Festival; la localita', infatti, presenta uno dei borghi piu' affascinanti della regione. Il centro storico di Sanremo, conosciuto come la Pigna, riesce tuttora a conservare il fascino di antico borgo medievale ed e' anche capace di intonarsi con la parte piu' nuova della citta' con il celebre casino'. Tra l'altro, la Pigna fu cara al celebre scrittore contemporaneo Italo Calvino, il quale la ricorda ne: Il Sentiero dei Nidi di Ragno. Come le altre localita' della Liguria, anche il borgo di Sanremo presenta vari monumenti degni di essere visitati.
| | The wonderful town of Sanremo is famous not only for the noted Festival; in fact, the town presents one of the most astonishing villages of the Ligurian region. The Sanremo historical centre, known as the Pigna, still keeps the mediaeval ancient village charm and it can fits with the new part of the town with the famous casino. Moreover, the Pigna had been remembered by the countemporary writer Italo Calvino in the Sentiero dei Nidi di Ragno (The Path to the Spiders' Nests). The Sanremo village also presents several monuments as the other Ligurian village do. Of course, these monuments deserve to be visited.
