Famosa piazza del centro storico di Genova, si affaccia sul Porto Antico e con i suoi palazzi e botteghe mantiene ancora oggi intatta la sua antica atmosfera.

Intorno ad essa ruota la zona di Sottoripa una delle zone più affascinanti con i suoi portici, ma la zona più interessante da percorrere è quella che va da Piazza Caricamento a Piazza Raibetta, definita una casbah alla genovese.

At the right side of the piazza there is Palazzo San Giorgio (St George's Palace) that, thanks to its imposing beauty, has represented the centre of the maritime and commercial activities of the city for a long time and, nowadays it's the seat of the port authority.
Around this port authority there's the Sottoripa's area, one of the most astonishing one withits porches, but the most interesting place is the street that goes from Piazza Caricamento to Piazza Raibetta, defined the Genoan casbah.
