Le prime tracce documentate di Camogli risalgono addirittura al terzo secolo avanti cristo, e come per la maggior parte delle località liguri, trattano di guerre contro i Romani che verso la fine del secondo secolo a.c. conquista tutta la zona e costruisce l'Aurelia favorendo lo sviluppo economico in un habitat naturale non del tutto favorevole.

The first documented clues of Camogli even go back to the third century before Christ, and, like for the most of Ligurian villages, concern wars against the Romans, who, about the end of the second century before Christ, conquered all the zone and built the Aurelia favoring the economic development in a natural habitat not very favourable.
