Sabato 8 e Domenica 9 settembre ad Arenzano (Riviera Ligure di Ponente) XXIII edizione della Mare e Monti, marcia internazionale a passo libero, un'occasione per trascorrere due giornate all'aria aperta tra centinaia di appassionati del walking provenienti da tutto il mondo.I percorsi escursionistici di montagna di 7 km, 15 km e 20 km si snodano lungo panorami mozzafiato e, per chi preferisce la morfologia costiera, i tracciati litoranei percorrono l'itinerario della “Riviera del Beigua”.

The walk takes place along the paths that connect the coast directly to the Appenine slopes of the Beigua Regional Park, the largest protected area in Liguria, and in a landscape full of emotions. Due to the close proximity to the Appenine watershed to the coastline, the mountains of more than thousands metres in height and with a typically Alpine features caused by the conditioning played on the vegetation by the particular lithology of the Beigua ophiolithic group, seem to hang over the sea and present participants with breathetaking views.

For those who prefer the sea to the mountain, a new route along the coast has been marked out.
The Riviera del Beigua is a further choice in addition to the three mountain tracks.It passes through the inland of Cogoleto where the morphology is green and soft, then it goes down again to the sea level and unwinds through the suggestive white and black cliffs of the Piani d'Invrea in a vegetation of aromatic plants and Mediterranean maquis.This year the route will spread out along the coast as far as the Albissole, the extreme resorts of the Riviera del Beigua coast.Along the routes there are numerous refreshments points, where foods and drinks are distribuited freely, including trenette al pesto a typical and tasty Ligurian dish that consists of fresh basil and cheese sauce, while a dense network of helpers, coordinated by amateur operators of the Civil Protection team, ensure efficent medical assistance to all the participants.
