Una delle più belle città artistiche d'Italia da non perdere per chi ama l'arte e la cultura. Una bellissima costruzione nel cuore della città circondata da quattro massicce torri e dalle acque di un fossato e il maestoso castello degli Estensi sono solo alcune delle caratteristiche della città. In particolare, il castello degli Estensi (detto anche castello di San Michele per il collocamento della prima pietra della struttura avvenuto appunto il giorno di S. Michele), è il principale monumento di Ferrara ed è l'unico in Europa con un fossato pieno d'acqua. Tra gli altri, sono meta obbligata anche il Palazzo del Municipio, la Cattedrale di San Giorgio e molti atri ancora. Non è un caso che la città sia apprezzata perfino da registi italiani e stranieri come Vittorio De Sica, Wim Wenders ed Ermanno Olmi. E' proprio qui a Ferrara che si svolge il più antico Palio d'Italia. |
