A real delicacy able to satisfy the most discerning palates, the pretzel buns are typical of Germany and German-speaking countries and it is a type of bread shaped like a ring with the two knotted ends and are made with the use of wheat flour, malt, yeast and water, in addition to sodium bicarbonate, and sometimes, especially in some regions, is also added lard or used whole wheat, spelled or other grains. In Monaco of Bavaria traditionally accompanies the Weißwurst (a delicious kind of German sausage) with mustard. On the beaten egg to glaze is sprinkled coarse salt (or, sometimes, sesame seeds), which gives the food taste irresistible.
