Quintessence of Filipino cuisine, the adobo is a real delicacy to be enjoyed both during special occasions or during a meal to delight your palate the best. Made using meat or fish marinated and seasoned with vinegar, browned in oil, simmered. With chicken or pork, or a combination of etrambe the dishes, the dish is prepared just browning the meat in the oven or in a pan to get crispy irresistible. Usually served with rice, making this dish really hearty, provides for the use of other ingredients such as bay leaves, black pepper and soy sauce that contribute to enhance the taste. A variant of the dish of fish may provide for the use of shrimp and squid, for those who love the flavors of the sea. Furthermore, a variant of the dish can be made using, but are not limited to, nuts, chips, soups, pasta and crackers corn.
