Falafel
Probably of Egyptian origin, considered almost a national dish in Israel (enough to be offered in the menu of Jews restaurants) and very popular in Middle Eastern countries, the falafel today are renowned and appreciated worldwide because of the delicacy which characterizes them, a deliciousness due to the ingredients that compose them: very fragrant and spicy fried meatballs, made with beans or chickpeas with chopped leek or onion, garlic, cumin and coriander, the falafels are a real treat for the palate thanks precisely to the significant presence of food components which help to give the falafel an intense and irresistible flavour. To taste freshly prepared, the falafel today in the Middle East can also be purchased at special stalls, while in Europe they were introduced by the Turkish grills as an alternative to the vegetarian kebab.
